The Esher & Makarios internship program is for focused and talented law students and graduates who are desirous of acquiring first hand legal knowledge and practical skills. The internship program is a robust and engaging programme that expose interns to relevant areas of law/legal practice, including substantive and procedural law, legal research and legal writing, negotiation, drafting, client management and case management.
The programmalso avails interns with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The program is intern-specific, particularly as interns are attached to mentors to cater for the specific needs of each mentor and to ensure a one-on-one appraisal.
The internship program spans a period of 3 (three) weeks, which may be extended at the Firm’s discretion.
Eligibility
· Candidates must be currently enrolled in or have recently completed an LLB program from a recognised and accredited University.
· Candidates are required to possess a minimum ofa Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5-point scale.
· Candidates must demonstrate an interest in any of the Firm’s core practice areas.
· Candidates must demonstrate willingness to learn and to commit to the rigours and high level of discipline required in the program.
